That can't be helped tho. It's supposedly just the beginning of creation. The world was still new. If they don't marry their siblings or cousins there's no way they could start a family. The world most likely started that way, someone has got to marry their siblings to form a family and those born from them too would have to marry their own siblings or cousins.. That's how the world came to be at the population we have now. Ain't nothing strange about it if you think of it in the context in which it happened..

They're gods. There's nothing wrong with incest since they're not flesh and blood and there are no genetics involved. They are entities that can take on a certain form. The 1st gods were also created, not given birth to. Without them procreating with each other or on their own there wouldn't be any procreation within the gods.

It was like the norm and a part of their custom in ancient Egypt and even ancient Israel. For example, Abraham married his half sister Sarah. It was not seen as strange at that time. We perceive it as something wrong and weird due to our upbringing. It's simply because we were brought up to see incest as wrong that we have that mindset now. In those times, it wasn't seen as something bad so why would anyoneqquestion it. And the settingoof this story is in ancient Egypt (like antiquated ancient) so I really don't get why you're so bothered.

Because it'd be as pointless as taking issue with Adam and Eve being "indecently" naked in Paradise, or with Noah's ark not taking in anyone else apart from family members during the Flood... These are stories that have been told this way like for a millenium already. If an author wants to use them as the basis for one of their comic, there aren't many basic original "plot points" they can just change without destroying the myth's original concept (and if they don't care about destroying the original myth's concept, then why bother using these myths as the basis, instead of just writing a story that was 100% their own creation, altogether?)
