the manga has taken a different route than what happened in the novel and honestly this is much more boring than the revenge and pride driven akira in the novel is like
the story starts to deviate with the the chapter where he forgave the pickpocket girl
That never happened in the novel

In the novel akira when he was cornered in the alley during the incident of when he caught up with the girl the guy kazuya and his girls got in a stalemate Ofc the maid and her master (i forget their names) take a neutral stance
and the part where kazuya got punched also never occurred instead when kazuya basically insulted akira It was actually Alpha the one to convince akira to back out when he was clearly at a disadvantage due to not having his gear on him at the time
the pickpocket girl was then in kazuyas protection but akira still held a grudge A huge grudge Enough to swear that he'll kill her no matter what
And he does so in the novel
I have to re read the novel at some point this year It's been a couple months since the novel has even gotten an update and I'm not sure if it'll ever get an update anytime soon
It's much better if you read it yourself cus how it leads to the pickpocket girls death is so fucking crazy and just batshit action packed
If you're tired of how long the manga is taking well to be honest it's not worth your time not atm because of the differences in the novel and the manga right now some of the massive and my favorite fights might not even occur in the manga
I won't say that it won't happen confidently I'm just saying the triggers leading upto those massive plots have already been destroyed so it could change a lot
and those changes could be good or bad depending on how the manga goes

The thief girl arc got dragged way too long, at least in the LN Akira has more personality than just being an edgelord
that I certainly agree with but I loved the carnage that came out of it lul and akira's character is much more interesting in the Light novel too
