Both of them have different issues in life, you can’t rate if one experience is superior or inferior than you.
But, I still believe that Jinhyeong does not really understand what Song Rik is going through, despite making Song Rik his comfort place. This led SR to have a false hope with twisted mind

Jinhyeong was wrong to get back from his word. I feel like while Song Rik really understand Jinhyeong suffers, he did not understand Song Rik’s. But its not wrong for JH to think that way, he just need a careful approach to tell what he thinks to SR.
And as for SR, I understand why he is mad and felt betrayed. He has his eyes on that one future only for it to crumble in one night. But he can be a better man, and not using JH trauma to get back at him, I mean just what is the benefit he can get from this?

Probably the difference between those two is, Songrik suffers physical more than emotional (other than his mom leaving) making him wanted to survive, but Jinhyeong suffers psychological issues that unless he is putting himself out of the circle, no others can.
