Do people that write stories being straight or gay have something against sex? Not all of them there are some good one like shutline and under the green light and a few more were they enjoy sex, but on most they are like don’t, stop, I don’t wanna, crying even when is consensual. I understand the one that are being forcefully coz he’ll no is that pleasant. It just pop in my head like the way they are having sex bother me cuz where is the pleasure the connection? Shutline I love their connection they know what they want I wish more bl would be like that.
Maybe it stems from the ideas already present in the society. most of the manhwas are Korean and mostly female writers, and they knowingly or unknowingly project their own ideas about romance/sex onto the couple that they have formed from existing in the Korean society ( as misogynistic as it can get with toxic power dynamics ) where women are supposed to be submissive so they project that power dynamics onto the characters that they write.
That's my take anyway
Sometimes we really need to ask are the Korean authors really okay because the amount of toxic couples I've seen is overwhelmingly high ╥﹏╥
