I'm pretty sure it's been established that it's a misunderstanding - at least I remember seeing this talk in the comment sections of this series years ago.
In the novel/Luca's first life, Ruediger died when Luca was just a child. Back then, Luca took Ruediger saying that he's responsible for Luca (or something along those lines) that he only cared for Luca due to that sense of responsibility, and not because he actually cared about Luca. He ended up sacrificing himself and dying before they could ever have a chance of resolving the misunderstanding. The incident must've traumatized Luca a lot, and his last moments with Ruediger didn't help.
Even as he grew into adulthood, as he never had a way of properly getting to know Ruediger, of course he'd only have this one idea of him in his head. Most people rarely think about the other point of view, especially when it comes to people they feel they have been wronged by, so that also adds to why he has continued to think of Ruediger as a cold person. (Plus with his recent talk with Judith it's confirmed that Luca being cold to Ruediger isn't because Luca hates him, but quite the opposite. He's also afraid of losing Ruediger, and himself getting hurt again. At least if my memory serves me right lol)

I stop at 58. Its taking her so long to figure out the identity of escal. Tho thats just how the story is. Reading some comments here spoiled me the latest chapters but it was expected at how the heizen was acting infront of Lara. As the story progresses i cant help but fall for escal's sweetness and treatment for Lara. Tho its a red flag on how he keeps on making her worry and how he makes her suffer knowing that the events of the kid escal was traumatic for her. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

After reading season 1 and the thing between grandfell and lee hoyeol. I feel like grandfell maybe a demon. Because of how it seems like theyre quite seperate individuals operating 1 body. And how they were able to access that dark magic thingy which the demon king said that a human should not posses.
This one is just my mere guessing.(￣∇￣")
But it said that grandfell was from a demon hunter family and also he actively became a demon hunter because demon's killed all of his family members and to take revenge he became a demon hunter so I don't think he is a demon well who knows ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Don't think this is the case. In the story the current world is based on a game ,and that game became reality causing the characters people created to assimilate into their current body.
Probably in this case Grandfell is such a drastic change from Hoyeol's self that the change seems more apparent. Grandfell's personality is much more dominant than Hoyeol causing Hoyeol to be in the back seat or whatever its called.
The human thing may be true but Grandfell isn't any normal human he's the last demon hunter of Akshan so he probably has the ability and experience of all the past demon hunters. So I doubt the last thing Grandfell wants to be called is a demon lol (˙◁˙)
