Unfortunately that is indeed the case. The other story MIGHT return to the original storyline eventually, but right now it's covering almost a completely different arc concerning the Monster Association.

I almost lost my shit at the end there... Like, the main guy got beat up first once, got healed, and then again imedeately shot in the chest. It was so cringe! My god it sucked so bad i can die happy. No offence, i like the series, but everything went south so quickly it was hillarious. everyone got fucked exept the main couple.
