The Mafia Nanny
Cute with some decent action. SLOW burn romance. Looking forward to the next chapters. Ch 46
Academy’s Genius Swordmaster
Pretty damn good! The plot is awesome - pretty much slice of life but with overarching plotline that keeps building. The worldbuilding is great. The tension awesome. The characters are great but pretty much everyone isn't a fully fleshed out character except the MC. Normally I'd knock it down a half star for this but it doesn't impact the story so whatever. It initially raised red flags for a harem in the beginning with all the major side characters being women or fem-presenting but they didn't do anything with it so the vibe went away. The MC is chaotic but not to the level I'd add him to the list. Still looking forward to what he does next though! Ch 53
Age of arrogance
Classic of the genre but with far less sex (they've only done like 1). Slow burn I think though because once the MC realizes her feelings and more importantly the MLs feelings there will probably be a ton more. The plot is good, the tension is great, the characters are awesome to good. The MC is a little slow on the uptake when it comes to the ML feelings but it makes sense in this one (even if still a little annoying) because she has grown up on the battlefield and is awkward in general. The MC was initially portrayed as a badass womanizer (which at least he is badass) but he's not that scary to other people so it doesn't hit the same. The couple is still pretty cute though - love that battle portrait they have as a couple portrait. Looking forward to the next chapters as I want to see how things turn out and when they figure out their feelings. Ch 49
How to Live as a Villain
Great action but low tension because everything goes the MCs way. Which is fairly typically for this genre BUT this one pulls things out of nowhere which gets old after a while plus his level up reward skills make no sense sometimes. The idea of villian player was interesting though and kept me going when the tension ran out. The characters are typically (fine except for women who are barely good). The story is great. The worldbuilding is decent- it's a little complicated but whatever.
Ch 71
The S-Classes That I Raised
More like 4.5 because of the deus ex machina. It happens a lot but basically doesn't take away much from the story. The tension wobbles some times but is mostly great. The plot is good - again there's the tendency to add rather than explore existing but eh. The characters are awesome - the MC is pretty typically but the rest are interesting. The female characters maybe not as much but they're still good. I especially like the interactions between MC and Jupiter guy. They seem to becoming fast friends under the guise of enemies. The monsters are adorable. Interested in seeing where this goes but might skip a bunch (as there's a lot of fluff). Ch 138
I Tamed the Crazy Marquis
A major reason this is waiting for the next chapters is because I ended on a cliffhanger (like obvious it will work out but I gotta see it first to believe it). So like don't really feel the need fir a full re-read but definitemy pick up again. The story itself is probably more like a 3.5-4 because it had some eye rolling moments (see spoilers section). The characters are pretty typically (slightly under used) but if that ain't broke don't fix it. The MC has the classic everyone likes me but I don't know it (but it's not because of the trauma of her first life because that's not a thing here) which is normally a little annoying but she is truly just so gosh darn likable. She is probably the most underused character. The author hints at all these skills but she rarely uses them which is annoying (like we got sword fighting we got blacksmithing we got engraving, etc). She's uses them once maybe twice then it kinda drops put of the story. The ML is on the verge of toxic but at least he's better than the second ML which is full blown toxic. Worldbuilding was a little haphazard but it's not too distracting (they hinted at Dragons well before adding them in so at least it wasn't out of the blue). The plot is decent (I think they rely a little too heavy on the miscommunication - see spoilers). The tension is awesome though. Ch 87

1. I would have preferred the SML (the prince) to follow in the footsteps of the previous kings by fearing the power of the Dyke family and trying to destroy them rather than him being jealous and wanting the MC for himself. It was already well set up in the story that the prince fam was overshadowed by the Dyke fam in terms of power plus he would have become known as emperor who defeated the villainous dyke family (so like win win). By having it be about a woman instead just felt weak and he seemed so much less of a threat. It could only end in 1 way (because the dyke fam had no desire for the crown and this ain't a tragedy) - the emperor abandoning his desire for the MC because he loves her so much that he doesn't want to hurt her by actually killing her first love (even though he previously sent the ML on a suicide mission).
2. The birthday gift - I know the embroidery hankerchief is a classic but it just didn't sit well with me that such a crafty person would go out and BUY a gift. I would have preferred her make something.
3. The Dragons. While foreshadowed it just felt like a distraction from the main plot (which was the emperor trying to steal away the MC). And then when the emperor gave up on his desire they felt more like a oh right we needed a big scary boss fight so here the Dragons are somehow free and killing to kill everyone and only the MC has the power to save the World. Would have preferred the ML to almost run out of magic as he did but instead of a dragon appearing the ML uses the last of his magic to induce a coma state and Telenor himself back to his family or the MC. The MC faced with her slowly dying hubby sets out on a quest to fix him (with the emperor trying to stop her). She comes across the flames learning about how the dyke fam uses stolen powers. Desperate she searches out the Dragons to heal ML but they refuse telling her about the betrayal of the dyke ancestor. Not one to be deterred she promises to free the sealed dragon to at least try to set things right. Bro dragon joins her on this quest. They eventually out about her families connection to the Dragons and find the "sealed dragon" (aka the blue Dragons and dyke dying wish) and learn the truth. Perhaps then she makes a deal with the king to leave the familes alone if they give up power and leave. He agrees (because who would look good going after a dying man). The MC and dragon bro returns to the Dragons to explain the truth and once again plead for help in saving the ML with the intent of returning the blue flame magic. The Dragons might be divided but the dragon bro has been won over by this point and helps anyways. The ML wakes up now powerless (as his is sis). He returns to society. This could end in a couple different ways - the king goes back on his promise to fearful of the dyke reputation and attacks. The Dragons turn their vengeance to the kingdom instead of the dyke family (dragon Civil War with humans into he middle) or the happily ever with tense diplomatic negotiations.
3. The FUCKING miscommunication. The ML is an idiot. What he should have done is HEY mc I've been tasked with killing the people the emperor sees as traitors. I plan on pretending to kill their entire fam so that the emperor doesn't send someone else but don't worry they're not dead just in hiding. You might also have to play dumb or the victim in public. Is this something you're okay with? Cause there's other things we can do (plots to put shadow brother on throne).
Talented baby squirrel
Pure fluff and its so CUTE! Love the MC she's so adorable and a touch of a schemer. Worldbuilding is great (interesting magic concept). Plot is building (pretty slow and episodic seeming right now but that perfect). The characters are fairly typically for the genre but they work and is great. Only had a minor freak out in the beginning because I thought the brother was the ML (cause black hair and gold eyes) but nope the ML is blindfolded and his pupils are slits. Otherwise the characters interactions are awesome (sweet and often funny).Tension is low right now but building (works for the story again because fluff). Looking forward to seeing where this goes! Ch 72
Isn’t Being A Wicked Woman Much Better?
Awesome all around! Love the MC (she's hilarious) and all the interactions she has with others. Little sad that the "real" MC might turn out to be evil but hopefully not. The ML is great too (and the source of many amusing moments). The art is gorgeous (even though it took me a hot minute to figure out what "hot" was - particularly with her dad?). The worldbuilding is great (a little heavy at times but I scroll over). The plot and tension is awesome (which is surprising since it's been pretty low stakes so far). I can't wait to read more! Ch 45
Into the light once again
More like a 4.5 maybe even 4. Typical of the I've been hurt by my past life and want to rake revenge. At least she was reincarnated in a different country. Reverse harem is strong here. It seems like every male character except her dad amd sort of her brother feels some sort of attraction to her. Plus Mar Sue (the traumatized kind). This all doesn't bother me much it's mostly the worldbuilding which is just scatter brained. The addition of new things out of left field just keeps happening. First there was THE spirit king now there's a spirit king of light , a spirit king of water, and I'm betting you a spriti queen of evil or shadow hiding under the guise of revenge. Maybe a translation error but annoying for me nonetheless. Might pick up again for the pure fluff and the side characters. Ch 84
