The girls are inside a harem manga and it came to the point where they'll have a new rival, the new rival has black hair and doesn't seem to have an interest in the male lead so this other girl was curious about her. Later on it is revealed that the new rival is supposed to be a protagonist for a survival manga and it seems she got switched with the true rival

i would recommend other yamamoto kotetsuko’s works! although not all are like honto yajuu, they have a similar vibe (i would recommend ashita wa docchi da)
