hi! can u explain what has happened so far? i’m kinda lost

in s3 basically, vercike brought ken to his castle not only because he wants to keep him close but he also wants ken to remember what happened between him, cain, and agio all those years ago. he’s able to do this because of one of cain’s ability which is to relive memories through slumber, so he has ken sleep lit like almost every single day. in those chapters, it’s revealed vercike was born a vampire and had parents who were both killed but he was raised by his dad and was taught to steal to live. eventually, he was taken in by cain but ofc he was wary at first because of what he was taught and agio was always killing him so he thought of agio and cain as two scary giants but soon came to want cain as his partner for eternity. this couldn’t be as cain already had his other half, agio, and the feelings would never be reciprocated. vercike came to realize this and planned to become the most significant thing in cain’s life but for the time being decided to continue playing the role of a cain’s only and only child. he was found out by agio and i’m assuming this is when everything went down but that’ll be revealed in later chapters. ^_^ after that, ken returns to his house with vercike and ofc agia is alerted and rushes there. we find out vercike and ken made a deal. to lift ken’s curse, vercike was allowed into aman but only in ken’s house. vercike explains to ken and agia that cain’s dying wish (the prophecy) is for the 3 of them to meet in the holy sanction. again, the reasons are unknown but ken is set on not fulfilling the prophecy regardless.

from this point on im speaking about the church’s version of the prophecy

once they return to the church, agia asks ken if he truly meant when he said he wouldn’t be fulfilling the prophecy which leads to ken questioning why agia wants to see the the prophecy come to fruition so badly. agia is suicidal, his goal has always been death due to all the trauma he has, he feels the prophecy is his only escape. they both argue for a bit because of their differing beliefs but in the end they both realize they truly love each other and don’t want each other to die. the meeting after is essentially the church worrying about vercike’s presence in aman and how it could lead to a catastrophic disaster but agia basically tells them to standby and after tells lorraine that he will definitely be able to fulfill the prophecy by having ken succumb to sorrow due the human of the night inevitably going insane once they reach their mid-thirties.

they basically all have their own goals. ken seems rlly distressed rn because he wants to escape from the prophecy and the gods to live a normal life with agia but doesn’t know how. agia wants to fulfill the prophecy to put an end to his misery but doesn’t want to drag ken down with him so he’s in a dilemma. di vercike wants to reunite with cain to fulfill his dying wishing arghsh
