It's like the author wanted as much trauma and conflict as possible in the least amount of chapters. There really wasn't enough time to unpack everything that happens so the result is a poorly-paced train wreck. I was expecting a silly story about a cheerleader boy and not whatever the fuck this was.
If it had been the typical "uke in distress gets saved by seme in the nick of time" cliché it could have maybe worked but this just makes me feel like the author has a thing for NTR? It's the only reason I can think of why the scene would go that far (like I mentioned before, the uke usually gets saved before anything too serious happens which was not the case here)
