Ngl I was hoping that the next arc would have her maturing after Undine's death and ultimately getting a contract with the ice spirit and it would be this whole symbolic thing since ice is like a "refined" form of water thus proving her growth.
It seems like she hasn't shown much character development since Undine isn't dead anymore but we'll see.
There's a post below talking nonsense about Harems, the Ottoman Empire, and the Turks. If you want truthful information a quick Wikipedia search can provide a lot of truthful knowledge. Royal harems mostly included noble women and harems from the Middle East where famously "progressive", with women being encouraged and taught a variety of information and skills like literature and music. Anyone who says they were comprised of mostly sold Christian women is lying and spreading racist and prejudiced information. Women could also wield a substantial amount of power, and held their own "court". The purpose of the harem was for the emperor to have multiple sons (to take the throne and continue the bloodline) and daughters (to continue the bloodline and to be used as pawns). The comment below mentions that this was to produce "sane" sons, but famous battles for succeeding the throne in the Ottoman empire involved killing all other brothers. It was even eventually legalized so the succeeding brother legally had the right to kill any remaining brothers.
The previous comment is also misinformed about the Ottoman Empire. Ottoman Turks, who were originally pastoral nomads, founded the Ottoman empire. Yes, there were a variety of Turkish tribes, but this group specifically founded the Ottoman empire and did continue to have contact with other Turkish tribes (although this relationship would devolve as time went on). The Turkish tribe were not a significant threat to the Ottoman Empire, which was the dominant empire of the region and lasted until a little before the end of World War II.
I love how it's progressing so far, (although I do feel like it's a bit slow at times), but I feel like the author's kind of backed herself into a corner. I started reading because I really want to see her face the super dramatic dark stuff awaiting her (and the knight!), but it seems like the author plans to solve all these issues in her childhood? Or it feels like there'll be time skips later but at that point it would kind of make spending all this time as a kid useless. At this rate it feels like it'll end up being 500+ chapters.
Chapter 31 currently tells you to read it on a different website - do not go to the website it may give you a virus. When I went the site loaded extremely slowly and used lots of ram, very suspicious. Please REPORT the chapter by clicking the flag, choosing other, and writing that it leads to a virus.
I bookmarked this at chapter 23 since I couldn't stand the tension and 46 chapters later nothing has changed. It's just endless repetition of adventure-pinning-adventure. Does she even address that he tried to get rid of her and essentially put her in hell?
