That was my assumption the original manga finished serialization back in 2022. The novel was actually finished in 2020 and goes on longer than the manga. There's an incomplete eng translations on novelupdates if you're interested try searching up the title there
I love how strong mc is generally but soft for his hyung~
omgosh I didn't know what to expect cause I only remember reading Haga-kun by this author, BUT WOW this hits a bunch of feels with the additional context from the translators I really really enjoyed this ;; as heart breaking as it is it's so beautiful!
In the last panel they seemed to have had a pretty heartfelt connection at some point. Taking into the fact she has special blood and he mentioned her family was scum, could they have had unsavoury plans for Nei? ALL A THEORY but I wonder if that's why he killed them and seems to want to let Nei kill him to even it all out.
