so i think(?) we all know that this yu ijin(001) isn't probably the real yu ijin sooooooo i'm thinking that either 001 was in the same plane crash as the real ijin then they joined they were in the same team and ijin dies and 001 took over the role of yu ijin ORRR 001 is already a soldier and was an orphan that the "army" chose and then after the plane crash and he friended with ijin and got to know about ijin's past and then later on ijin dies in a battle and then 001 got amnesia from that same battle and kind of mixed up his memories with ijin's.
My theory, he got scouted to be 001 after the plane crash, and he became a mercenary, and on a mission he saved lieutenant hamchan, and befriend with them, and like he suddenly disappear from his original group and move with the lieutenant team. So people thought that he's dead. This only makes Sense in my head, u know what, just ignore this

hmm bcos i remember this one line that goes smth like hows it like to have a family(?) i think from the lieutenant to 001. i mean if he already had a family why did he need to experience having a family? i hope we get to know sooooon ╥﹏╥
I think he became part of the organization after the plane crash (001). Not yet a mercenary. More like a dog of the organization. Then something happened and the organization thought he was dead. 006 said "you were the mercenary named him, right?" (Or something). Then after the separation, he became a mercenary. By the time he met the lieutenant, he's already out of the org and they already thought he's dead.
I think, he's the real Ijin. If I remember it right, they mentioned doing test to find his fam before meeting them. So I'm guessing, they did DNA test too. I think it should be the first thing they did to confirm his identity. I guess, the lieutenant said that fam line because Ijin was so young to remember what it having a family feels was like. He spent more than half of his life in the battlefield, no fam and not-so-sure-if-they're really-friends type of relationship in the organization. He have family but he can't remember how it feels. He basically grew up alone, killing to survive, ya know. Those things. So it's like he's devoid of emotions. A way to cope up with all the fight and blood.
