Author is taking their sweet time for the actual plot reveal, and is stingy in revealing the MC’s backstory. We get flashbacks but not enough. She has a goal, what is it? Put Joshua on the throne and then retire? She wanted to build that railroad… what is happening with her own ambitions or was it just to fulfill her supposedly dead husband’s dream? or keep her status of nobility or something else? And what was his dream? Maybe I need to reread. Husband is alive for sure…
Who does she really love? Her husband or the ML? She seems to be having mental issues or is it grief? her anguish and outbursts of wanting to join her husband in death, pledging her undying love for him, does make it look like she loves him or is it an act? Were they just friends or was his relationship with her insidious in nature? and then there is the ML…. She definitely loves him but tries hard to push him away.
The ML is backing the duke but what is his plan? I think he’s definitely cooking something behind the scenes, I don’t think he’s just blindly following the duke. He loves the MC or is obsessed with her…it did seem like revenge was his priority in the beginning but it’s not anymore. I think she did groom him if we trust the flashbacks… her taking the reign and telling him he belongs to her, they both were kids/teens though. The reveal for their backstory will happen probably when something bad happens, like an attempt on her life and he is injured, on the brink of death while saving her…
the game of politics is dirty they are playing well…For an original story this is pretty good so far… I just wish there was more backstory… hopefully it’s coming soon… it’s already more than 50 chapters and so frustrating to see her want him only to push him away…
There is so much going on it’s hard to wrap round my head, the monsters, the dead husband, the past, the group that’s revolting, Joshua’s obsession with her, her daughter, did they address her leg problems? And what is the ultimate goal?…
One thing is certain, once the backstory is revealed it’s probably almost the end… so let’s enjoy the frustration and angst while it lasts xD I like stories that make you think and if the author fuck’s it up I’m out…thanks for reading my long post…

The emperor looks like a sex starved zombie … those eyes creep me out, looks aside he’s definitely a psycho and I hope this doesn’t have tons of rape, but it does look like it will… he’s already started….the plot to kill the emperor is already in the works… I think he he may get injured during the hunt, or fake being hurt just to keep the uke bound to him…until his real personality is revealed..
…I just hope that there will be more plot, I’m getting tired of non consensual sex on repeat, such a turn off.
Just to point out to the note by the translator in the current chapter- whoever insulted your translation and scans should FO or do it themselves!
I’m sorry to be so crude but the effort the translator has put in is incredible… thank you for your hard work so far and I hope you continue to translate in the future and not be discouraged.
The thing is I can relate to this type of situation, sometimes you keep quiet waiting for the right opportunity to clear the air and the longer you wait, it will backfire badly.
Real life lessons learned by this are don’t be afraid of confrontation and consequences whether you are right or wrong. There is always a probability that you will be caught, communicate even if it may be the wrong time, it’s the best to just explain yourself. Even if you wait for the right time, sometimes it never comes. I need to learn this first >.< this kind of drama hits me hard.
Dan should have been the first one to tell him, JJ should have confronted Dan when he got the call, but I think he was waiting for Dan to tell him first.
Confronting a person about something they have done is equally important, you ask for clarification or give them time to explain, but don’t wait too long to let it fester and blow up into this kind of situation.
They both ended up not talking about the problem here. Understandable with all the pent up emotions running high. I hope Dan speaks up and they both get to the bottom of this, but I don’t think this will happen, let’s see what the author does.

I just read the comments up to 4 pages and it’s only dick size, sexy scarred bodyguard, beautiful art, toxic hot sème… yes, I agrée with all those XD… anyway I was just wondering if anyone noticed the plot in the background with all the appealing distractions and did anyone re read all 13 chapters in one go, I did that after he said I missed you to see what I missed… I’m obsessed with this story now.. I’m sad I know lol..
This is not a spoiler but just my assumption of the backstory…this goes back and forth so bear with me.
Mi uem has met sème in the past but doesn’t remember him, probably when they were younger. When he met sème the first time in the bathroom there’s a flash back mi uem has talking about his curiosity with a younger, skinny looking friend with dark hair and a bandaged wound on his arm… then the fact that sème said he missed him, makes me think that skinny boy is sème all grown up and physically changed now, or not…but there is no scar on sème’s arm… unless the wound healed without leaving one.
There’s another flashback Mi eum had while watching the guy with the knife have a go at sème and we see an older man holding a bottle attacking a boy (probably seme, old man might be someone related or not) in the superimposed images…the shot closes in on the scar on his neck, so I’m not sure what happened there but he definitely got the scar from that incident and probably the limp as well…smexy bodyguard swooped in and saved the day, ahem xD….there’s a comment seme makes after it’s over about how he cries when things get hard and runs when scared, makes me think it’s happened before, might have got the limp in an accident after he ran?
Sème seems to know his scar at the back of his neck, from the way he scratched and caressed it during their blowjob… and bites his neck before they have sex after mi eum says no to bathe him… so I’m guessing he’s definitely the boy in the flashback.
Seme seems protective but at the same time acts as a brute towards Mi eum, he definitely wants him, his conflicting actions makes me wonder what happened between them… apart from the toxicity, and sexy distractions the story’s mystery is well done so far, sorry for the long rant, why did I start reading this so early?!… huhuhu xD
Oh yes I’d like to add about my curiosity of the older brother and his beef with him, someone did comment a few comments below, and says it perfectly…they seem to know each others moves but clearly seme has the upper hand…

Tbh, apart from the gorgeous art I wasn’t too impressed at first with the plot and seme’s behavior until he said I missed you… and I do like psychological elements of a story like why does he not want to bathe alone and his phobia of dripping water, there’s some traumatic incident attached there for sure..

I Google translated the next chapter, and tbh it isn't really Mr. Kwon's fault. We've definitely entered the groveling/chasing phase of the story. Basically the MC wants to cut things off, and the ML is being an obtuse dumbass. Honestly, they do need to work things out tho
Man this cover looked so beautiful, I thought it was some mushy romance, I should have read the comments and started only when it was finished.
You guys should read up BPD, borderline personality disorder.. that’s what sème is suffering from, correct me if I’m wrong but he has most of its symptoms, his dream of the child with blond hair is made up, he knows it and through the dream and imaginary boy, he is trying to constantly cope with his childhood trauma of being abandoned…this is DRC/dream reality confusion or disassociation….I wish there were trigger warnings for people in general… I don’t know if the author will address what is going on just now, hopefully we are able to understand the story from their pov in the future…
This is such a good psychologically complex story so far, the first season was written exceptionally well, I don’t think anyone should hate people for being mentally ill. People suffering from BPD need support and treatment. Thankfully BPD is treatable so maybe this story will have a happy ending, hopefully…
The uke is also coping with different issues stemming from childhood, his parents, poverty, low self esteem with acting and seme’s bizarre behavior. I think they both are on a journey of healing each other, more for uke at this point, but the thing is uke is quite perceptive and has yet to find out about seme’s situation, the sème desperately needs psychiatric help, as you see signs of suicidal tendencies.
I hope this story ends well, if they are together or go their separate ways, that they both overcome their problems where they are both stable and healthy.
I believe that Gabriel, he addressed in his letter as his brother and friend is a priest, since it’s a letter of confession. Theo probably left the priesthood or seminary in England and returned to America and started working different jobs and then at the gallery at some point and a took on a new identity. Many aspects of the story are ambiguous and left to open interpretation.
