Wow can't believe it's over. The ending was very satisfying and everyone was happy. Fr had me balling my eyes out at 1 AM when we got to see a glimpse of their son all grown up and become emperor, it really reminded me of the ending for Who made me a princess.
So far it's good. Idk why you guys are saying it's confusing. I think everything that's happening is pretty straightforward and not that complex.

I was scared this was gonna be a love triangle but I guess I was wrong. Godo seems to only see Hyeon as a dear friend and just wants the best for him. Besides his blatant racism towards snakes, I really do adore Godo.

He always respects what Hyeon wants in the end even if he disagrees. He went on and on about not interfering with cadet placement after training but in the end he was going to do just that. He told Yayhul he was going to work him to death if he chose to stay there, then asked him about it. It was to test how serious he was about Hyeon because he was gobsmacked when he said he'd go back home. I'd like to see more about his life or about their childhoods.
