Was Levi's mate the old man?
I don't think so....but I was confused by what the relationship between Levi and the old man was. In the beginning it showed younger Levi witnessed him killing someone (his mate?). I didn't understand who and why....
Page 45 chapter 1 is when Levi meets his mate. He/she is the one saying "Um" and approaching Levi on the bench. We just don't see their face.
The old man on chapter 2 is the same person at the beginning of chapter 1 who killed his omega partner because apparently the omega found their "mate". On chapter 1 he says that he is an alpha and he says it again when he is seen talking with Eren on chapter 2. As Aeriesky21 pointed out, we don't see or know who is Levi's mate.
