I’ve been seeing chapter previews for this on the Canna twitter and Edako-sensei is a fav, I’m so glad this was picked up and aahhh the first chapter is so quality~
I’m sad that we didn’t actually get to SEE Edric feeding from Sungryul because that would have been...so good especially given that, for once, he’s just as bitten up as Minhoon or Gunchan, which is honestly amazing because Edric is usually well-behaved (trained) enough to keep it in one area. I /really/ would have liked to see how it happened between them, especially with Edric being injured and all...Sungryul probably?? Did most of the work?? ( ° ʖ °) but if they didn’t really do anything and Edric just fed, and they had a Big Emotional Moment that’s be fine with me too
Regardless though, these two continue to have some of the best, sweetest, most tender heart-to-heart conversations out of the three couples in this webtoon, like seriously?? Sungryul talking about how miserable he was for all these years because of their circumstances and his guilt at seeing everything Edric has to do and go through because of him, and everything happening around them that’s at least partially because of him, and /god/ that flashback. That brief flashback was everything!!! Edrics expression and Sungryul shaking as he reaches up to cup his mans face even though he’s covered in blood...that’s love right there. And then, the shift in tone as Sungryul starts talking about how he really thinks things are going to get better and how he really sees hope for them now and how, this time for sure he wants to be successful.
And!!! Their plans for the future!!! Edric asking Sungryul what he wants to do for the future, and Sungryul telling him he wants to run away with him and go somewhere where no one can find them and no one knows them...again, that’s love!!! And lmao Sungryul returning that question and Edric just being “I’ve never thought about” and Sungryul just “Well then we’ll think about it together from now on. We have a lot of time from now on.” Like need I say it? That right there, that’s love.

There's so much unspoken longing, love and trust between them. I read this comic for them. It's really sad that they don't get too much focus because they are so interesting to me. More than the main couple dramas tbh.

sometimes I actually feel bad for the man because he’s literally the only relevant character who keeps getting injured (leftover bites from feeding obviously don’t count). Like, Gunchan got shot that one time, yeah, but Edric took at least a dozen bullets before that, and he keeps getting hit (tho he did deserve to be). And now in 97 he’s obviously got it even worse - he’s so beat up that Sungryul and Daniel could tell even from outside the building...can’t really tell under his clothes but his chest and right leg are bandaged up so he definitely got shot several times - maybe stabbed too - the bandage around his neck and the one around his head look pretty serious too, and his right arm looks to be fucked up but not broken...they were really targeting his right side huh...
That moment between him and Sungryul was everything though...Sungryul realizing the source of the scent and then immediately running to his man...Edrics smile when he sees him...THE HUG...how Sungryul gets a knee down on the couch (between Edrics legs) so he can get closer...Edric closing his eyes and leaning in for a sec... Sungryul shaking the entire time probably with a million thoughts and several emotions going through his head, all boiling down to relief bc Edric is still /alive/ ...EDRIC APOLOGIZING WHILE HE GETS HIS GOOD ARM AROUND SUNGRYUL...Sungryul opting not to sit with Edric on the couch but rather sitting across from him so he can Judge the fuck out of him (lol)
The one I feel most bad for is of course Sungryul...because Edric is Like That Sungryul probably never gets to relax because there’s /always/ going to be something to worry about...
hopefully next update we get to see them being intimate because I will die if this ends without a scene for these two and with how heavily injured Edric is right now, feeding will definitely be necessary...haejin please I am Starved

Minhoon seems to be doing a damn fine job taking over most of Edric’s duties, negotiating with the various vampire families, and dealing with Elian (everyone’s favorite dilf) being an ass as usual and sticking him with all the work...Minhoon you angel you’re not trained for this at all but you’re doing so well ;-;

No idea what he’s doing there but it probably has to do with older, more powerful families and alliances and all that. It could also be research or retrieving files/information or any other number of things also. As far as I know they don’t specify a reason why unless it was done in a previous chapter. Since I can’t read hangul I wouldn’t know so we’ll just have to wait and see.
As for why he might die, well. There’s going to be quite a large number of vampires who bear a grudge against Edric because of everything he’s done managing the clans kin system, so he’ll probably get attacked at least once while over there. There might even be some who could seriously do some damage to him - though honestly I think that possibility is pretty slim since Edric is....very strong. And plot armor, I hope (though I do feel like he raised some flags earlier on...but hopefully they won’t amount to anything permanent)

Ok so this is a bit random but I remember reading this in Japanese before and fun fact (also, another great detail to highlight his gap more factor) is that “itsumi” is written with the kanji for “ai”

i read through the raws (which were linked in another comment here) and so far...this is really good, especially about making sure that akira is never presented as anything other than what she is, a girl. and honestly it's really refreshing to see that, to see hime and other characters come to her defense and also just treat her like how she wants to be treated, even if others won't.
finally we’re on the cusp of one of my favorite chapters of this whole dang series being translated and y’all will be able to get a glimpse of the heavily complicated and sometimes (often) stressful but ultimately tender and enduring, loving relationship between my favorite couple
first of course will be minhoon being a badass, a clash of wills, and then some lovey-dovey time b/n minhoon and hyungwoo but then!!
Then, an example of how grandiose gestures and lofty declarations make not the best ways to present a long-established relationship, especially one that’s lasted over half a millennia.
