I don't think they will all die. A core message is that only love and mutual understanding can break the cycle of hate. AOT imo is a story about hope and beauty just as much as it is about cruelty and hate. It will be bittersweet, i think
let's just hope that this manga's ending won't break our hearts

I think she’s trying to get close to the emperor because she has no idea why her family was executed by him. So she’s hoping to either find out why so she can stop it and/or get close enough to him and gain enough favor that her family and her will be spared.
Not really always, most of the ones I read were "I should stay the hell away from them and not have anything that ties us" but they still end up entangled with them and curse their own fate XD
Well the twist about this story is that it makes sense for the FL to get close to the emperor because he's cross dressing as a princess.
