Popiside's Manga

I hav read countless BLs but i haven't enjoyed it as much because lately it's all just been pretty drawings and smutty plot lines. This piece is an old one and i wished i had found it sooner but it really pulled me out of the boredome and apathy that recent BL works put me through....
I honestly don't get why most people find it boring and couldn't keep up past certain number of chapters. To be crass i think they were hoping for a shallow BL work with sexy action and probably weren't satisfied with the slow burn emotional roller coaster it's supposed to put you through.
I personally found the work to be immaculate from all perspectives. Some may say the art style is not the best, but i find it more than enough. The artists were able to express all the emotions perfectly through different cuts, angles, and scenes. Maybe that made up for the art style that might give less room for emotional expression. And don't even get me started with the storyline and the flow that took me into twists and turns. And the way it touched a lot of subjects of coming of age as a queer teen. The anxiety, confusion, misunderstandings, and frustration. And the way the artists perfectly portrayed the characters as high school boys. It was realistic enough to the point that i could relate to them even though i'm a 24 yo... woman. All the problems that stemmed from them being boys... rash decisions, childish fights, confusing thoughts, and playful demeanor. But i felt like they were all also very mature for their age. It was fascinating, thank you Bobarie for taking me through the journey of these "7" boys throughout a year of high school that i finished in 2 nights~ ♡

I was frustrated as i would whenever i finished a story masterpiece, but it was so well written and finished that i can't even bring myself to ask for a continuation. I will feel empty for a while, but i will try to accept this happy ending and wished the best for all the characters :)

I hope ST and GB will be able to overcome the hurdle that is coming forward about their relationship to their families, SH and SHY to grow up and hopefully stay together through college, IB to make new friends and come to terms with his sexuality, and for that ahjussi to move on from his old high school days and stop harassing minors LOL.
