It was a mess in the novel. I think the author wanted to spare us from witnessing that in the manhwa
How was it a mess? The novel wrote the kidnapping and suffering scene well. It’s important to show how/why Edith would reach the last condition.

I think the way rize wins is if Edith begs for her life. Which is what all the previous Ediths do, and why they fail. But due to Edith going through all that torture and suffering, she became exhausted and started doubting even killian. Thinking killian would probably want her dead too. She exhausted both physically and mentally. So she didn’t resist or bed for her life during the execution scene. Which lets Edith win.
The manhwa scene isn’t showing her struggle and is showing her look perfectly fine even physically, all neat and tidy. It’s hard to believe that’s she struggling, when the knights and family see her condition and realize she wasn’t doing well.
Yeah, may be it could be triggering to people?.. but the author could have atleast slapped a bandage on her.. her injuries were bad enough in novel to induce fever and she was in and out of consciousness for days, almost a week..
One would think so but then we’ve hadn’t multiple ocasiones where we have seen her suffer already (like, with the maid) so now it just feels ... weird... to have it so censored (￣∇￣")
Honestly after this whole fiasco if she gets out of prison and what not, her brain’s going to be like swiss cheese from what both Edwin and Minicat are putting her mind through.
