Honestly i read this on and off and so now i’m just a bit confused and feel like I’m missing something. Was their history ever brought up properly? Does Ian not want to be with TJ because he doesn’t want the gang life anymore or does he think he’s bad for him? Or both ? Sorry i’m dumb your insights would be appreciated
Ian just wanted to leave the gang, which he did. But he also wanted to move away, which TJ didn’t want to see happen. So they’ve been in this dance where TJ does everything to keep him close and Ian stays when TJ steps away. He knows TJ needs him so he kind of likes it (as we can see in the flashback from chapter 15 when he smiles after TJ tells him he needs him), but at the same time he wants to be away from that environment.
In this chapter 45, Jo just realized that Ian is still in love with TJ but isn’t aware of it.

Oh wow, i see. So the push and pull between them is exactly what the author is going for. Ian is messed up for real i wonder if he truly loves TJ or just loves that TJ needs him. Thank you so much for clearing thing up

I think what the author is going for is that he does love TJ but Ian is so aware of how messy their relationship can be that he doesn’t think he does, which is why he referred to him as family. Because nothing else could explain the importance he has in his life. Basically the person who’s noticing that Ian still loves TJ here is Jo. However instead of being down about it, Jo is using the fact that TJ left Ian to tell Ian that he should respect TJ’s wishes and stay away.

I would not have the mental fortitude of Jo to continue to pursue Ian in this case. I hope it all just ends well for him
y? what happened? i havent read it yet and even tho i dont have a problem with really slow paced progress i really want to know whether they become a cp or not or atleast do they like each other?
It's a real slow burn, so no official couples have been established yet, but there are certainly some cute developments in their relationships. Specially with the side couple. i highly recommend you read it. you won't regret it.
This is by far one of the most disturbing stories i've read. It's absolutely captivating through, a total mind fuck. So, what now? i feel empty after finishing this.
