In some ways, this seems less twisted than a lot of other stuff from Harada, at least the 2 main potential partners? Or is it just that it'll turn after a crazy twist like some of the others?

Heh, well, they've aged like 3 years in 7, I think. I remembered it had happened but couldn't remember when and had to poke around for it, because I didn't read any chapters for several years.

Why is mangago so off with the release year on so many of these? This is the sequel to http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/konya_mo_nemurenai/ but is listed as having been released 11 years earlier. I have read quite a few that were clearly marked wrong.

Not everybody grows at the same rate. I for one was 4"9 until my 16th year and shot up to 5" 10 over the summer came back to school still learning not to trip over my own feet. That year was ruff.
