I’m confused- everyone seems to think murder and torture is okay, but rape is where the line is drawn? All of these events are fucked up, but that’s the point of the manga. I don’t understand how rape is the end to all means, when the other victims were tortured and killed. I’d like to hear an explanation from someone if possible, I am curious.
It’s cuz Murder can sometimes be justified (not usually torture, but because these were bad people doing bad things to others people can somewhat justify it in their mind as it’s “just pay back” “or they had it coming”) while most people have this mindset of where no one deserves rape because it’s not something that usually just kills you, you instead have to live with it.The act of rape is not only torture (in a sexual way which is invading your privacy) but it’s mentally damaging. Not saying torture isn’t, but most people wouldn’t wish rape on others cuz it’s something that you live with for the rest of your life due to the mental damage it causes. Also when people think of torture they usually equate it with death in a sense from my understanding I hope this helps
