When I saw the Saint on the Duke's dream, I've come to a realization. Is the Saint, Carlton? Then I went back to the previous chapters. They did say that Carlton may have escaped before his execution in the past life. The Saint's body build also has similarities with Carlton's. I'm not too sure with the many good deeds he did before, but it kinda matches up with the theory of how Carlton escaped and then the Saint coincidentally picked up the duke in the past. The prologue also wished that his beloved to be alive (I don't remember much) or smth like that and God was touched and granted his wish (even though Carlton made a grave mistake in the past).
