Honestly, this chapter is pretty important. We as readers knew Richard was a little scuffed in the head but it’s not until this moment that we see how truly psychotic he is. He’s not just a yandere “I’ll do anything for you” character. It’s deeper than that for him. He wouldn’t burn the world to the ground just because Courtney asked him to. No, he’s been dying to see everything go up in flames. Courtney’s approval would just be the icing on the cake.

Aftercare is not just to help them physically but also to help them emotionally by coaxing them gradually down from that high.
