Idk if it gets better cause I only read 15 chapters but the ml feels so bland to me, like he doesn't have any personality. He knew the mc stalked him and you could see that he feels uncomfortable with that but just cause his nephew likes her he's just like "yeah she must be a good person, i dun care what she did a year ago, if my nephew says she's nice she must be nice" it's like the whole stalking didn't happen and he doesn't even feel the slightest bit uncomfortable or anything, he suddenly likes her cause she saved the child and thats it lmao could be just me but he's just bland and no personality whatsoever
While I certainly agree that the ML is very bland I think it has been implied (based just on my interpretation of the encrypted mtls we get for this story) that ML never actually disliked the MC. Like he thought she was weird but not malicious and going by the flashbacks we get MC's antics due to her obsession is basically stalking (not saying stalking shouldn't be called out), ruining a couple of dresses and hairstyle and some mean words here and there. MC already had bad rumours surrounding her for no reason even before all these so the rumours we hear now might just be exaggerated than some MC actually did herself before her memory gain.
Though honestly as you and some others have mentioned, ML is so boring (and it's not because he is "nice", it's because he has no personality) and they barely have any chemistry together. Sasha has a more interesting personality and a better dynamic with the MC so maybe this story should forget the romance and go childcare all the way ?

(I know that he is cause of spoilers and such) But for them it isn't clear, some people just can't get pregnant from another person even if the other person get other people pregnant and the same with woman, some pairs just won't work together cause of dna or such things, so if I were them after finding out the woman was pregnant from another man I wouldn't jump to conclusions that I was infertile cause I wasn't able to impregnate the woman

I had a hunch after they explained the clipping part so my guess is that this duke will "tame" and "clip" layla's "wings" in the fucked up way possible...he isn't likeable from the start and the way he talks and looks at her and that bird is like animal and it's prey or like a child and a plaything. My guess is that he will abuse and imprison her to the point that he is willing to kill her or hurt her if she runs away...I really hope the light haired boy is the ml and that layla will have the happy ending she deserves but after reading enough webtoons with similar plot, Layla will never have a happy ending or develop Stockholm syndrome...or (very unlikely) the duke will have a redemption ark after giving layla hell and suddenly we well be expected to like the duke even after he did horrible things to our fl...Maybe I'm wrong but the first 11 chapters feel uncomfortable whenever the duke is present or in the same scene as Layla...

I feel very uncomfortable reading this...I mean they get together yeah but I can't shake this feeling off that she doesn't want to be there, I feel bad for her. The whole rape scene in the beginning is no good start and I feel like she developes a kind of "stockholm syndrome" I mean I guess there are woman who'll fall in love with their rapist who helds them captive with no chance of escape but it doesn't feel like love, just possession from the rapists side and the victim trying to survive and bearing all the rapists actions thinking they like him...

Things just happened, it wasn’t a deliberate disbanding. I won’t spoil too much but if you want to know, I don’t mind sharing. The light novels are amazing - can’t wait for the manga to catch up (but that will probably take years as the manga has maybe reached the LN4), and I doubt (though I really hope so) they’ll adapt them all into the anime.

So Shisui and Suirei are both part of the Shi clan that kidnaps Maomao (even though the sisters aren’t really bad - Shisui’s mother is), and then Jinshi finally reveals who he is in order to go rescue Maomao, and in the whole ‘war’ (not quite a war but more of an ambush), Shisui fakes her death and disappears and Suirei being revealed to have royal blood is kept safe at AhDuo’s place (she can’t reveal herself as she’s supposed to be dead). The Shi clan gets annihilated. So this way we get down to three consorts.
All this while Consort Gyoukoun has a son and becomes the Empress, so then we get down to 2 high consorts. And then later on they try to get Consort Lishu to marry Jinshi, but obviously he doesn’t and Consort Lishu also gets embroiled in a controversy and gets banished to a life of nunnery for a year (by the way Lishu and Basen - Goushun’s son - fall in love
I bought all the LNs from j-novels. I had a membership with them a couple years back and didn’t know I kept collecting coins each month, so had enough coins to buy 9 volumes. After which I got the membership again as vol 10 was free to read with the membership and the release one chapter each week for vol 11 till it’s release, so as a member you get to read it before the release. If that’s an option for you I would suggest it.
