tbh, i couldve read this without the romantic subplot, or the sex. the weird sex that happens like really quick, thought that was just thrown in there. i really hate the love at first sight trope, but it was okay here i guess, still not my favorite but it’s just there. also yall ever just have sex with a man after he saves your life? happens every other day hahaha. besides the critiques, this manhua has been pne of my favorites. love the fl, the perfectly represented gay characters, the writing is ethereal. it’s refreshing to see a mlm couple that aren’t villains or complete tools.
i felt like they could’ve made the emperor bisexual as the easy way out, since he fell for her eyes and scent which seems familiar.. instead of a immediate love at first sight sex scene... but to each their own.

this story is so good asdffgghjkl,,,,, it doesn’t drag out the romance with dense leads and miscommunication, which is so refreshing. the romance seems almost casual and raw sharing cute ass moments sometimes. don’t let me get on with the female characters cause they are outstanding. usually when there is a female protagonist, the women are often downplayed to make her look impressive but it’s not the case here. the antagonist (at first) with the dark pinkish hair gets her own little redemption when she works on saving others, showing her true skill instead of deceit. the princess can really be qualified leading others & could possibly be the first woman to lead the kingdom. they feel like they have interesting lives outside of the ml and fls perception. the villains are very dynamic and often have a supporting story to go along with their arc and redemption is not such a far thing.
i got recommended this after reading solo farming in the tower. unlike that this is actual buns. the mc doesn’t do anything without it being spelled out for him. he’s hardly working ever. i know the concept is “making the spirits work for you” but he’s so bad at solving obvious problems. yall say yuna is annoying or whatever but the mc is so much worse. he’s so plain and boring. there’s 0 character development & even the “feel-good” aspect is terrible because there’s no conflict or hardship to celebrate our good feeling with. even the small roadblock where he’s talking about “farming with spirits had a rough start because they did [x] and [x] because [x]” was glazed over and put into simple sequences. it would’ve been better if they showed us the hardships. the loli aspect is also weird but honestly i can forgive that because it’s just a popular trope in anime. terrible trope but popular, i’m used to it. i can’t forgive bad story-telling
+ also this is a little thing but the fact hawa can’t speak and only say hawa is like a little peeve. idk why
