I don't think this will be a harem cuz this obviously a married-to-his-work guy story, we or I don't know what he's past wife look like if he have one.
Wow, this is probably one of the few romance fantasy where you can really observe how the characters develop. I also like how they retain their distinctive personalities despite the changes. We have to keep in mind that they are people (well, a depiction of), they too will act on impulses, fail to express emotions, and act stupid. Really looking forward how they will work out. Rooting for then to find happiness!
I can't stand reading this. I'm only on chapter three but the FL is so shallow and so childish. For someone who is supposedly an adult from her past life who lead a "normal" life her character is a try hard "quirky and lovable" girl... making no sense because of who she supposedly was. The plot feels like it was written by a 13 year old. Will stop reading this for now but maybe I will come back and continue when I am really desperate.
I can't help but feel bad for her she never had a proper childhood in both lives she lived

Honestly, Imho, if u only read up to chapter three then you are kind of... too early to judge?
The MC girl is indeed the quirky and adorable type of girl but she is not useless and shallow, she has skills, she is not an idiot naive girl as she can stands for herself. I read this to the latest chapter and I don't think her character is shallow and immature at all.
She has skill, she communicates with others quite well, and handles her problems herself (as long as she can handle it). However i can indeed see how she could be viewed as childish because of her bubbly and bright personality, which I personally viewed as cute and fun.
(Oh actually imho, not every single person needed to be the serious and calm type even as an adult. I have many friends that are very bubbly, quirky, and adorable like the MC in their late 20s, and that's fine. They are doing well in their life and is well liked by many. As they are fun and comfortable to be with. Being well liked is a talent too right? Social skills.)
Oh, and In the first place I don't think this manhwa is supposed to be the overly serious type, its more of a comedic and light hearted one. So maybe if you read this till the end and still don't like this manhwa, then this is just not your cup of tea? not necessarily means that this is shallow and immature.
I stopped reading at chapter 5 because I just don’t like the FL. She is so selfish and stupid. Typical ‘everyone loves me that it’s making my life difficult’. For girl craving for genuine love she does the opposite to those who are genuinely loving her in her current life. She said it herself that she deceives her family and it’s prominent that she is used to manipulating them by playing victim. Such a narrow minded girl.
I’m sort of not liking the female lead because she is so shallow so I came here in the comments to read some feedbacks. Everyone seems to like it a lot so I’ll continue reading this to see.
I don’t understand why people have such negative view of the plot and the characters. I’m at chapter 57 and based on what I have read the resolution for the “miscommunication” will likely be resolved along with the trauma or erasure of memories of the female lead. Truthfully, the miscommunications makes it more realistic for me, they are characters with flaws and insecurities after all. Overall, I really enjoy the concept, the phase, and the variety of characters. Definitely looking forward to how this will unfold.

People always complain about the miscommunication trope as if its such an unrealistic theme (〜￣△￣)〜 even irl we have miscommunication... Plus sometimes such as in this story it makes sense and with lead to character development ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
True!! Imagine finding out that some of your memories are erased, the horror of thinking which memories are real or not. Not to mention, being exposed to a whole new world with magic. And the ML being extremely cautious because he knows how difficult those are and that she may leave him. It’s always easy to judge characters because we are the audience after all. I just don’t understand why others are so negative about it. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
The titles literally Lies Become You so ofcourse there's alot of lies or secrets (▰˘◡˘▰) Kidding aside, idk, I'm enjoying Lacey's journey of learning more about who she really is and the secrets Halid has or more about the world they live in.
The FL is actually dealing with it all pretty well imo. Plus i LOVE that ML isnt too pushy like other MLs out there, and yes his lack of pushiness or cautiousness may lead to certain misunderstandings but its right he gives her some space and i support that.

OMG IKR, it literally the titles (≧∀≦) totally forgot about that! And yes i enjoy their push and pull tbh and aside from her self discovery, im also enjoying her opening up to the ML falling in love and the struggles she feels. Honestly she's dealing pretty well considering everything. meanwhile ML is just an adorable lost puppy trying to his best for her ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ the misunderstandings just add some drama and is it bad that i find it so adorable when the ML is struggling on what to do next to keep her by his side (▰˘◡˘▰)
I’m slightly annoyed by how the MC can’t discern the bad intentions of Charlotte based on how she lies and acts. Why does she keep on insisting that she is a good person? It’s frustrating to see her rely too much on aura reading. Just like how she still views her siblings as good people despite having dark auras, I hope she views those with light auras in a neutral perspective. There is a line between being kindhearted and stupid, I hope her character and mindset gets better.
SPOILERS: It doesss I promise the charlotte thing was getting on my nerves too but Anissa only keeps forgiving Charlotte because of the initial guilt of changing the story (in the original story Dietrich loves Charlotte but now he's indifferent towards her) but she gets over it and hands Charlotte's ass to her
Idk about yall but I don’t like the FL kinda. Like why does she not have any backbone against her stepmother and step sister. She doesn’t fight back, it’s not like she is tortured to death and it seems that she doesnt suffer from PTSD. I mean if she fought back it’s not like she is gonna get killed bcs she have connections now. It could have been easier if she set up a trap to expose the abusive ways of her stepmother and stepsister. And in my perspective she seems to be the usual average looking average everything type of MC that the creators try so hard to make it look like she is smart and stuff. I have nothing against those type of stories, I also enjoy and read those type of stories. It’s just that it could have ben more interesting. Nonetheless I’m gonna still read it maybe it will get better.
i mean shes doing that to survive, if she did they would put poison in her tea, shes waiting for her brother to come back home thats why shes not fighting back
She was abused as a child and apparently was a special needs child. That combine with the step-family's treatment might have had traumatized her, and she won't do anything because they could murder her in the privacy of their house. I think the author did well showing how she's change since regaining her past lifes memories while still haunted by the treatment she underwent.
She just mentioned she still remembers the abuse. They will kill her if she fights back most likely, or as the step mother mentioned before beat her back into submission. She doesn’t necessarily have connections that are know in the social circle other than friends with the princess and even then that’s not much to go off of with she is friends with her sisters future husband if anything. Plus the rumor she is mentally unstable while mostly debunked is still in play.
yeah if she gets killed the guys would figure out it lickity- split but the demon prince is most likely her best bet of survival
