I don't think it's a "red" flag honestly, something isn't right with the guy that's yet to be explained, also this is the apocalypse remember, the morals that make right and wrong here is vastly different in this scenario

reading this book is like walking through molasses… it’s really slow. not for interesting plot development or anything like that. i just think it’s slow for the sake of being slow. i wanna give this book a chance, but i’m getting bored lol. i love the idea behind the plot & character arcs tho.
