Binge read this today and I loved the plot twist of him becoming the main love interest. I could smell it a mile away, but still enjoyed it.
For those confused, I’m not really sure what y’all confused about, but I’ll explain what I understand if that’ll help (I’m super bad with names so I’ll be using some form of their name/description)
Ok so we have 4 adult characters: Seo (red head mc), Soft Boi (poor/indebted mc), Mujin (mean gangster) and Creepy Eyes (the other guy lol).
This whole thing is supposedly in a novel that was read before by the red head guy (we do not know his real name, he can’t remember). He had now taken over the body of Seo, a really mean top character that ends up dying by the hands of Mujin. Clearly Seo doesn’t want that and he knows what happens int he sorry because he’s read the book (he has no idea how he ended up in this isekai plot). Seo’s character does a drastic 180 change and literally changes the plot line but I don’t think he’s realized that. So instead of Soft Boi falling into harder times and being more indebted to Mujin (and then falling in love with him), Soft Boi falls for Seo and Mujin also falls for Seo (if you can can his love love

I like smut as much as the next person, but goddamn can we get back to the story? We got the backstory of how they met and why their relationship is what it is, what more do we need? I’m forgetting why the flashback even happened at this point.
Woah, I was super confused at first but I love a good fantasy theme but get sick of all the isekai, this one isn’t so bad though. I wanna be sure though that I’m understanding it right. The grand Duke is that other student the mc lived with for whatever reason in hs? Like i got that vibe and then i didn’t as if he’s just technically an npc. I don’t understand their relationship at all if it’s the former.

Ah the sex, all the sex. It still weirds me out about the age gap, but like I’m fine with it, but then I’m not at the same time, but it’s not bad enough to make me stop reading. Seeing the actual ages now for that swap arc makes it even more weird, but then I’m being contradictory because I’ve read plenty of other stories with an age gap, one just as big as this if not more, and found it weird still, but enjoyed the story much more than this. Rn there is no story, just sex and now tropes? Definitely not dedicated to the story, but it’s not awful.
Wooow, I only read this because I saw the second one first. I don’t think it was toxic like in the way most obvious toxic BLs are, but damn do they need some therapy. My guy, it looks like he’s a predator at this point cause now his new boyfriend is even younger than his first. Like I figure that wasn’t supposed to be the intention, but goddam, that’s all I see. And wtf?! Who fakes their own death to get away from their ex unless it is a horrible and dangerous relationship. In retrospect, everything was fine with them (except for the morals of a teacher) but the kid’s family fucked it up and went that drastic to say he died?! That’s traumatizing! So many emotions going on. And then bro just accepts to use him as a look-alike stand-in! That can bring on so many insecurities along the way. I’m not a fan of age gaps, but I’ll read them…but knowing he was a teacher is weird, but at least he’s not currently his teacher.
At one point I was just thinking everyone sucks. Teacher guy needs to not get in a relationship with any students (don’t even wanna know how that went down) and better himself for himself and go to therapy. The main guy needs to give himself more credit for his talent, I’m assuming he’s a really good artist, and he needs to prioritize himself and go to therapy. And Mr. I’m Not Actually Dead needs to apologize properly for what happened (since it was his family that caused the actual chaos) and move on from the relationship and go to tell his therapist the reason why he told his ex he was dead.
Still, I found the story good but that probably because it’s definitely not a favorite. I held no over affectionate love or protectiveness for any character.
This whole story is so so freakin weird. I feel like I get the plot but then I’m wondering why. The artiest is also so innocent to the point it’s annoying but also like, bruh, you’re a grown ass man and having sex with this guy who has the brain of a frog at this point. I’ve read so much that I guess I’ll read the updates, but I am just not feeling this story as a whole.

I lowkey hope that the ex-bf is gonna be in that room for an amazing confrontation, but I know that’s impossible. The professor didn’t even care about Johee’s (is that his name, I read it and then forget immediately) initial relationship to begin with, so it doesn’t make sense for the beta bf to be in the room for a surprise confrontation. I just want that to happen lol
I feel like it’s getting better solely because of his beating and breakup, but now the professor is letting him back in, and he is on the cover as a mc’s ‘love interest’. What makes this story foul for people is that they can’t relate to the protagonist (if you can call him that at this point) in any way beyond him being human and perhaps a college student. We see what a jerk he can be, how he treats his boyfriend who he supposedly loved so much in an AlphaxBeta relationship and how FAST it went downhill for him even after recovering from an ‘involuntary’ reaction from an omega in heat. If he did get in a romantic relationship with the professor it wouldn’t be very palatable for readers since we know how his previous one ended.
