Well if it's his coming of Age he will be legal(18?).... As long as both are legal with such large age Gaps...it should be alright...right?
The problem with the underage thing is that this is in a historical setting. As well as a fantasy one. She said that 15 is their adult age. So in the story it's considered legal. He literally could get married after his coming of age ceremony. I personally think we are all to hung up on our version of age of concent. Which in away blocks us from truly enjoying the story. This is just my personal opinion lol.
Sorry for the rant.( ̄∇ ̄")
Yes as long as it's legal and the child isn't groomed but genuinely loves their whoever be I think it's okay. Only if it's a reasonable age I still feel iffy with 15 because that's where most people only starts to develop their minds they might even change their way of thinking so I don't think 15 is a good age but hey this is fiction it be like that
I totally understand being unsure about the young age lol. However, from my experience, children in Manga and manwha tend to be overly mature. We could think of it in a way the fits the story. For example, it's a different world, so their anatomy could be different. Maybe by 15, their brains are fully mature. Idek. My brain is weird lmao ( ̄∇ ̄")
I actually read an article not long ago about how life span and things of that nature determine our mental and physical maturity. For instance I was reading a story about the Oregon trail and they were talking about the wedding between a 14 and 16 year old and how at the end of the trail she was already pregnant and he was building a house for his new family. Like at 16 I was no where near adult enough to raise a kid. But 1 in 3 women died in child birth and the time frame women were least likely to die would be between 15 and 20 so it makes sense to get married young.
So it is hard to imagine a child being a mature adult but used to that would have been totally the normal thing.
Honestly I don't really fault age gaps within somewhat immortal characters(100+) since living that long, age will probably mean nothing to them and will most probably look for personality and maturity. The thing I'm concerned about is that she literally RAISED him, he may not have seen her as a mother but she sees him as her child. The fact that a kid you raised, even thought as your own kid, would suddenly fall for them romantically hits a bit- wrong? Y-know?? Like imagine a mom falling for her kid- it's just- iffy I guess ;-; it would've helped if she didn't raise him and just see his age progress, kinda like Lucas and athy
I kinda agree with this too...lmao i agree with everyone but at the same time I don't lmao. I'm weird. Oh well. If you overthink this then yea it will be wrong and weird but i think that's because we spend so much time thinking on that. If we brush it off like a basic shoujo fantasy manga it will be better? I-idk. Alsoo... who are lukas and athy?
The comment section is wilding it's embarrassing. Everyone has their own perspective of how they would feel towards the Duke. Whether they decide trauma is an excuse or not is really not that big of an issue. The plot and the Author probably wants us to feel all these different emotions and perspectives. Not everyone will have the same mindset and neither will be correct due to *perspective* stop bashing on people that won't forgive the Duke stop bashing on people that does everyone can freely debate and argue this topic however some of y'all take this too seriously and call people "disgusting" or tell them "stop reading" because they find slight inconvenience in the story which is normal and they're free to criticize or the love the story. Instead of insulting people that disagrees with *YOUR PERSPECTIVE* try and change their mind in a respectful manner. Commenting in a rude way will not help you at all in your argument it'll just cause more dispute. Not trying to be rude but y'all take this WAY too far
Where did this manga pop out all of a sudden.
