As much as I wanted a happy ending it’s not gonna work :-/ a happy ending would have just spoiled it. Harsh but at the end of the day he’s now just a doll, whether he kills himself or goes back to his father he’s not going to get over that easily. If he continued to live he’d become more like his father.
The magician functions to change people, in the corrupted society we live in hes the only “real” person. He did his job and disappeared, much like the magic trick ah-ee did at the end. When his parents said he’ll be back I feel like it meant another person trapped in society’s box will break out and help others. It will be another “magician” his parents probably subconsciously knew but because of society they pushed it aside
THIS IS SO GOOD LIKE THE TORTURE THE ANGST EVERYTHING, WHY THROW IN “HAPPINESS” AND ROMANCE NOOO. The only happiness in the story should be immense torture and the death of the rest of those kids. The best ending would be keeping the last one make the into a living doll giving them so much pain and then keeping him alive for ever etc then his little brother dies and then he kills himself but the living doll stays alive and alone. That would be the best ending, I hate stupid bitches like this. THERES NO NEED FOR ROMANCE IT THROWS THR STORY OFF WE JUST NEED EMPTY MONSTERS PLS
The things they do to each other to themselves, trapped by thoughts like an invisible chain. I despise humans, people fear ghost, monsters, the devil etc but in reality humans are even more scarier.

Just seeing him breakdown and try fighting that guy replacing him as a “new” doowon makes me heart hurt. I hope Taehoon feels better and gets through that :/
I was half expecting this tear-jerker backstory but man this hurt. “I didn’t even get to apologise”... That really hurt me, not being able to fix what broken before despite Doowon being super forgiving and sweet, Taehoon must really felt tore.
They walked on the same line dwelling in their own fantasy which made them never fall astray. Following the line they meet each other and carry on walking on the line of life together, even when the line came to a stop for one the other carried on walking it to bring his partner back.
Start to end, pain leading strength they lead a long life happily together :(
