Talk about timing
If I were in uke's shoes, i would simply off the seme and escape, then seek therapy and strive for happiness, at the very least.
There's nothing I hate more than a damsel in distress who can't survive on her own and needs her knight in shining armor for literally everything. The story started off well; she has powers for crying out loud, if not the most powerful, but she's always in need of rescue. Does she use this power to defend herself? No! And the excessive use of prophecy—like at this point, the author is just a sadist who needed a word to abuse the protagonist. Even the commoners aren't scared of the prophecy; they just use it to badmouth her because, let's be honest, if you know she's a disaster and can end your country with a flick of her fingers,
would you be willing to curse her every chance you get? No!
"Beauties can cause the downfall of nations"
I read this quote somewhere once and honestly I think it applies to this manhwa. Call me a basher or whatever but Yooyoung isn't worth turning the country's political situation into chaos. Aside from being a typical delicate flower uke nothing's really special about him. You can argue that "oh but he's so traumatized and abused, so pitiful" but is he really worth the trouble he brings? Sure he's very useful for the angst, but otherwise? Sorry for my wording but he's just a baggage. Unless he becomes a strong MC in the future which I don't think will happen BC he's one of those White Lotus types, then in my book he belongs to the trope of MCs that I have a particular dislike for. The pitiful MCs who do not have an ounce of self respect and rely on the men they pull all the time whilst throwing everything else in their way out of order. I feel like a villain today so I'll say it.
It would've been better if Yooyoung never arrived at the palace.
