Funny thing is, Inseob went out to get a cake to celebrate Wooyeon's birthday (which he himself forgot about) and that bitch didn't appreciate it one bit.
He did kind of assumed for a bit, Inseob might have had a fatal accident (there is a dead person in front of the hotel and Wooyeon will believe for a bit, it might be Inseob) and ofc the obligatory 'he probably ran away from me' thoughts (both of which probably didn't make his mental state any better) but that's still no excuse.

There is no kidnappers lol. Wooyeon just looses his mind once again because he thought Inseob ran away from him. And being proven wrong about that assumption doesn't make things much better in the moment.
After that it gets a bit better but then Inseob will get stabbed by a crazy fan of Wooyeon's and almost die because of it, which is kind of a wake-up call for Wooyeon, but only kind of. He is still not willing to let go of Inseob for good. He'll just send him back to the US for a short while to recuperate. They will still end up together at the end of it all. If that's a good or a bad end is highly subjective.

I enjoyed the novel (not the best I've ever read but entertaining enough if you can deal with toxic red flag (more like black flag) MLs, but definitely not really a cute and wholesome pairing. Wooyeon, at the end of the day, is a criminal sociopath, who doesn't give a fuck about holding back as to not hurt others (even if he does like Inseob in his own way), so realistically there aren't many other ways for this to end.
