I had a trio friendship like 6 years ago and then we expanded to a 6 person friend group and the og trio plus another are who I’m realllly close to but the rest I’m also close to and it’s been pretty chill. One did leave when we were in high school but that’s because she moved away like freshman year but we’re still besties and actually live together now. So it’s possible to be friends with multiple people all at once without leaving someone out

I noticed that the two of them often made plans without including me. Theyd match best friends pfps too without me, at some point i started questioning if they even thought of me as their friend when they leave me out sm even tho theyre the ones who labeled us a “trio”. I snapped and cut them off after i had a birthday party at my house but they didnt come, found out they were hanging out together and they simply “forgot”. “Sorry but.. it’s just a birthday, youre the one yourself who told us you hated your birthday anyway” exact message she sent me before i blocked them. Honestly lowkey got me thinking that with how close the two, they might be girlfriends lmaooo. But yeah, after i blocked them on socmeds we stopped talking even in irl altogether — even when we passed by each other.

Went from a trio to a duo and I was unknowingly in the middle of it. The person we're no longer friends with was secretly in love with me/experencing limerence towards me.

They'd invite me to things and say our other friend couldn't come to things, they didn't actually ask the other friend. They lied to my at the time s/o about me doing hard-core drugs and cheating on them, stole my other friends phone to message my s/o about the same things so they thought it was coming from both of my friends, they did it while we would all be together and block/unblock my s/o so myself and other friend were totally unaware. Made fake social media accounts of me, conspired with my abusive ex to get me back (I assume the plan was for the ex friend to come in and play savior if me and the ex got back together), I had an online stalker at the time that wasn't them and they were feeding info to my stalker. They did other smaller weird things, too, like stealing a shirt, moving smaller things around my room while I wasn't in there, hiding my favorite makeup/hair products so they'd be missing for weeks then they'd find it for me super fast.

I was 15/16 at the time and when I found out my best friend of years had been doing all of that to me it really fucked me up.

that is seriously fucked up... your ex-friend need some serious therapy coz that shit could get worse. i hope you're doing well now and safe with your surroundings
