I was 11 or 12 when I first ran into yaoi, but before then, I had read all the interesting ecchi and hentai-ish manga I could find ("Velvet Kiss" stands out). Because of this, I was already familiar with sex scenes, and when I read some of my first yaoi (one of which was "Sex Therapist" by Kodaka Kazuma) I was like, "oh, yeah. Bring it on.
