Oh my god. The moment I saw the words "egg" and "world" together, I knew it must be Hermann Hesse's "Demian" (the German helped, too). I'm with you, Korea and Japan, in loving my Hesse. (There was a BL called "Demian Complex" as well, using the same-ish idea as the quote in this first chapter...althought this quote is from later on in the book than the idea used in Demian Complex....I'll shut up now.)

This was so friggin' amazing. Even though I'm not a HUGE superhero fan (I enjoy my Superman classics now and again), this gave me so many feels! I started out not knowing anything about Owlman and Ultraman, and I was almost crying by the end of the second chapter!

XD I really love this couple and this artist's pretty art, but her style definitely doesn't suit the tone of "Ai no Kusabi"...in fact, I wasn't really happy with either artist that illustrated for AnK. The OVA definitely has my heart for the right look and tone to match the novel.
Oh, and I definitely mean the 1992-4 OVAs not the 2012 one...
