My irritation with this chapter was in Endeavor's insistence in not even trying to find another way. Instead of constantly telling Touya you can't. How about taking the child to the persons making support gear and seeing if there was a way around the self-harm. The man is so prideful he doesn't even acknowledge there are others out there capable of forging another path for the child. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
There was most likely not adequate support items at the time. If I remember correctly All Might said in one of the chapter that he tried using support armor (it look like a robot suit) back in the day to protect his body and last long in his hero form. However, he said it was heavy and barely help, it also only allow him to use 10% of his power or else it would brake. So in Touya case I don't think any item would help or at less one strong enough to protect him from his own power. On the other note, I think he still would have been lead to that path regardless of what Endeavor did. Touya seem very much like his father, willing achieve his goal not matter the harm. Plus, he grow up in an environment where everyone want to be a hero.

I considered this when I wrote my post. My frustration comes from Endeavor not even asking. It's easy to assume something won't work but as the failure of a parent he is he didn't even ask. I know the children were nothing but tools to him but even a technician will try to fix a piece of equipment that is broken. I agree Touya takes after Endeavor but also believe he wouldn't have fallen so quickly if given any chance of hope. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
