So I was just re-reading some stuffs, and I'm just like, wow manga world really loves to exaggerate gender stereotypes. I've never once thought that a guy is weird for liking pastry or sweet stuffs, but you see in manga that the surrounding people shun guys for...eating sweets? Like does that even make sense? That's just pushing it even for gender stereotypes lol I needed to get that out it's just ??? (think the nick young meme)
Men give other men they don't like shit for whatever reason. I would assume it's the same for women, but I don't often find girls calling other girls "hahaha you lesbian" as an insult ..???
I've never seen sweets as particularly threatening to masculinitu tho
making/cooking them is a different story, but do those idiots who make fun of chefs realize women LIKE men who can cook?
dont get me wrong, i agree with you 100%. BUT just dont forget that manga/books/art in general are based off of the author/artist/mangaka's perspective. life could be VERY differebt than from what you know, especially societal and personal differences and values.
THAT being said, lol ya i agree about the whole sweets thing. like obv idk what it is like in japan specifically, but i know asia is still heavily influenced by societal conservative norms so who knows why manga exaggerates the gender stereotypes ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I’m confused with the accidental child abduction…
So from what I understood was that the human kids and the (demonic) kids hang out together and so when the human were evacuating the village, the (demonic) kids looked like human kids cuz they had their cloaks on and so they ended up being evacuated from the village to somewhere else. Hence the accidental child abduction
