First of all...her uncle is really annoying(although he's being controlled...is he aware that he's being controlled?)
Secondly, this is super sad for Jeanette and Athy(because Jeanette sad stupid excuse of a father is being controlled..and because Claude is possibly going to lose his memory again..)
Thirdly..why is Lucas's character breaking...what happened to being the mighty magician of the tower..? Like obviously he said that in order to preserve his mana..but he's still been able to so much and yet he can't put together the context clues?? Like even without magic..shouldn't it be super obvious by how that Jeanette is the source?? Something only goes wrong because of her. Or when she's around Claude.
I mean come on- or am I being too harsh..?

i agree about the part where magicians "freeze" their emotions. lucas sees death very lightly but he does hold importance for athy. so when she cried about her dad slowly dying, lucas got annoyed saying "if you're gonna die just die already". but he knew athy would "break" if claude died so he decides to help even though he doesn't really give af. so i think he's got the gist of the source of the problem but isn't really keen on acting much since he can't be bothered to. or he's already got a plan but is just rendered because black magic shouldn't be tampered with in the first place. not only that, anastacius stole his spells in his tower which could've also become a handicap.
Gurl, at this point just fucking throw Jeanette under the bus plz
