maybe it's just because the pacing was really weird or the translation is off but it felt like it was missing a lot of development. they had a lot of issues that mostly boiled down to a lack of communication that the author had ample room to fix but it never seemed to happen? and ayame had some cute moments and all but his personality never really improved. i liked that kaede got in his face about how he was fucking with shuu this whole time but it didn't really culminate in much. and shuu's progression from "he makes me extremely uncomfortable" to "i can't live without him" didn't feel natural. in the end their relationship just feels forced and rushed like the author was scrambling to conclude it after spending too much ink on their early days. i'm sad because i was expecting way more based on the reviews but it didn't do for me what it was apparently doing for everyone else. though i guess by a/b/o standards at least it's one of the more emotionally heavy and non-creepy works out there.
i think the #1 fix for this would've been to just make it longer. more time for them to work through their issues, more time for ayame to be more honest with shuu, more time for them to reevaluate their relationship, just more time in general.
edit: i should also say i hated that it was shuu to confess first. it absolutely should've been ayame to confess first and come clean, but instead shuu confessing felt more like a copout for the writer to not have to write about ayame actually confronting his actions up until now by simply making shuu stupidly devoted to him out of nowhere
i feel like i can already tell how this goes: asshole ceo guy is the one who outed mc, claims it wasn't wrong of him, mc thinks he hates him now, after reuniting he realizes he still has feelings for him uwuwuwuwuwuwuwuwu even though he did something so horrible he cant forget him :,(((( and the ceo dude is like omg..... why do i feel weird seeing him again? then they have some workplace drama, ceo guy pretends to feel a shred of regret for what he did, and his past actions are never truly addressed after that again until later on when mc decides to forgive him because haha "omgggg u made me stronger u were right it was life experience XD thank u for outing me in the past XD"
i would love to be wrong because that shit fucking sucks but unfortunately it's how every bully-turned-seme story goes, but i'm gonna follow this just to see if i'm right and also in hopes that i'm wrong
but like, considering this was dropped after the first ch was posted.... i'm willing to bet the team saw a dumpster fire as it went on and was like nah fuck this bye
man i have no idea how any of yall are out here feeling bad for this mfer, personally when chiwoo finally told him to fuck off i was like FUCK THAT BITCH AYY FUCK THAT BITCH AYYY i love a happy ending <3
edit: and dont even try to be like "but hes a victim :,,(( he was abyoozed :,,,,,(" that doesnt make him not a rapist abuser, he deserved what chiwoo gave him at the VERY least fuck him AND his scars
that's all, their relationship is just unappealing
Right!?! Having shared interests does make relationships easier, but it's usually a gateway to other conversations. Having only one shared interest is just not sustainable. They literally tried to build a relationship out of CRUMBS & it got boring to listen to them yammer about the same things over & over.
alright, PLEASE for the love of god don’t end up having a situation where satsuki rapes naoto, i know how stuff like this tends to go, it starts off all cute until the seme gets “frustrated” and forces himself on the other guy to “make him understand” so that better not happen here
