Because it scares me, repulses me and interests me at the same time. Also, I haven't been in an actual relationship so that doesn't help. I think that I'm also scared of how they would react when they see me without anything to hide me, like maybe they would feel gross because I'm hairy, or because I'm smell bad for some reason...
