Am I the only one whose kind of fed up with ML taeha's character atp? I get that he's mysterious but he acts like a robot and completely irrational..I like the characters and the plot but Taeha is kind of ruining it for me. Even the (soon to be ex) cheating husband mincheol has a more understandable personality than him.
Maybe that's the point, its different from a written novel, the author has to draw everything by hand, it takes time and it has just so much to work with.
I prefer a plot that takes its time developing itself that a rushed story.
We're just getting to know him, building his character. What would truly make no sense would be for the author to just dump the ML whole life in a chapter.
I re read the whole story and the passing it quite okay
I'd like for others to mention what exactly they'd constitute as taeha having a personality because I would say he has one. not every character has to be complex with 293922 layers, and not every character's personality has to immediately be shown. I think we have enough to understand what we're currently being shown : he wants her and only her, even if he has to lie and deceive to get her. he lacks morals, and he doesn't love, but rather he obsesses. maybe he doesn't even want her as much as he wants her affection and attention, because he could've been neglected as a child or something bla bla bla. he obviously has a personality disorder, we see that he ditched that one girl very easily, as he's generally disconnected and can cut off his very surface level relationships with little difficulty. he has this vibe of a caged animal just waiting to strike. I don't think he lacks character, he's just a big ass question mark and I'm sure there are many layers waiting to be revealed. his character is very surface level, but I'd argue it's intentional. I feel that he's absolutely off his rocker but he also has an inner child that craves to be healed
I completely agree with you. I can definitely see how he may be perceived as having no personality, but even that is a personality in and of itself. We’re only 25 chapters in, and we are just getting started on the development of the MC and ML. It’s clear the author intends to depict him as mysterious/lacking “human” traits thereof (morals, love, attachment) which can cause readers to believe he is personality-less. He’s crazy, and we’ve only just begun his backstory to hopefully uncover more of his secrets as to why he is the way he is.
You don't need 2000's layers to have a personality. He is a robot, what he does is completely irrational. I'v been reading manga/novels for years now and the "mystereious" character trope has been misused for extreme lazy writing. I already know he's going to have some dumb cliche backstory about his family and then what? He's going to keep acting like some alpha possessive guy. I have seen 12 yo's write better wattpad characters, no excuses.
uhh can this be updated already please
