Decided to see till chapter 2 before making any comment.
As far as i can tell, the book does not actually contain demons. It does however resonates to any nearby possessed/affected individuals. The black thing that emanate from the kid/book then forces the demon to show up in its true form. This can be seen by the book flipping and identifying it after the true form is revealed.
While this sounds like recipe to a disaster, it does however provide closure to whatever dilemma they are having (by sheer luck/fortune as far as i can tell). And the book will absorb the demon, releasing the host from possession.
Really curious to how the mystery of the book will unfold. Is the absorbed demon sent back to hell? Or is it stored and possibly able to be used to protect the boy at the plot later on?
Interesting read

This manga is gold and i like Tetra
But if Tetra is a felyne beastman then shouldn't she have retractable claws?
Seeing her walking around, doing chores, and sleeping atop Kane with those curved sharp claws is making me worried she will accidentally cut someone
Like, I'm expecting the situation where she accidentally hurt someone is givinge anxiety ╥﹏╥

From a simply logical point: there is one type of cat that is unable to retract their claws: cheetahs.
So if they can live without accidentally hurting each other in their sleep, I guess Tetra can do it as well.
Also, a little scratch when asleep ain't nothing to be worried about.
And when being like that your whole life, your subconsciousness learns not to have accidents happen.
Just like you learn as a child not to fall out of bed.
NOOOO
ANYTHING BUT THE FAMILY JEWELS!
