Even someone that got called mom and dad wouldn't be much more of the parents as Hwan and Master. I don't think being a good parents and a loving family are depends on how they got to be called by their role, right?
Maybe not for you but for me it's special. Like being adopted when you finally get to call your adoptive mom mom. Maybe it's just a word but I guess depending on the person it can have signicant meaning. So personally I think it'd be cute for them to be in that scenario.
