So the physician fakes Patricia's health results because he believed (considering Patricia was of high noble status) she would be a great empress. The physician leaves the palace after that so that he doesn't get caught.
Around the middle or nearing the end of the story, Patricia finds out about the physician and thanks him.

I cried at chapter 2... knowing the anxiousness and pain of our precious uke really depicts the real struggle of our gay sisters :( ya'know they mostly think that all we ever want in a yaoi story is the smut scene but they didnt even know that we get to see the view of others that we didnt know. We get to feel their problems, heartaches, worries and even their break ups. They all just want to have someone who accepts them and love them for who they are. Society really suck.
