Why is it so hard to find someone who likes manga and Japan as much as i do XD .. Btw does anyone have some rly good manga to read(drama, romance) like Oboreru knife i think that is best made romance ever.. Asakura art is amazing.
why would they be angry?? if I have opportunity like that i would go without thinking xD .. life is too short you should enjoy it. I hope i will learn japanese(vocabular because i can read hiragana and katakana) so i can read raw manga xd .. People around me thinks i'm nuts because i'm so obsessed with all japan thing
They can't understand. People usually consider "home" the place where their loved ones are, but I do not. To me, my home is Japan, but they can't understand that. Soo many people are badmouthing me on my back it's rather amusing.
I think they will only think you are nuts when they, themselves, don't trully love something or somewhere. And when they do, they might think you are nuts because they don't like it, so no one can like it. But loving something or somewhere is good on it's own way, since it can make you happy. However, "liking it" and "loving it" are very different, so finding someone who does love the same things as you can be quite a challenge, since most just "like it".
Hiragana and katakana are cool, but kanji is...(/TДT)/
Maybe this is best quote for this but ''People fear what they don't understand'' .. People badmouthing others because they don't understand and they don't know what it means to love someone or something, as you said. But i don't care what they said because i know i'm full of these feelings to something i love and they are empty since they judge me.. I hate narrowminded people.. I hope you will go back to Japan and have a wonderfull life there and also find some lovee if you don't have one ^^
Waa why can't i meet japanese people who read manga? like they doesn't exist XD. and when i talk with asian people they look me like weirdo who reads manga at this age(23 years old)
I don't think nerd and otaku culture has been embraced in Japan as much as it has in the West in recent years. Like 10/20 years ago it wasn't a very cool thing for someone in the West to be reading comics into their adulthood but now it's a lot more accepted.
Of course, I'm not from there so I don't have first hand experience of this.
Well... as an asian person. I tend to stay away from people who are focused on asians. I don't wanna spend time with someone who only approached me because I'm asian. I'm pretty sure a lot of american born asian people (especially females) get serious red flags when they hear about people because a lot of us have had experiences with people with "yellow fever".
TLDR; Don't focus on meeting just asian people. Meet and hang out with people of all colours.
It's not exactly like that, actually. There's many asian people that read manga, but they usually just read it in their own language. For instance, Japanese read manga with japan language, Chinese read manga with china language and so on. I live in Asia and I have lots of friend who reads manga. Even in my city, there's so many manga/anime lover community.
It's not like i'm interested in them just because they are asians.. i actually ''don't'' like americanized asians. Well i like japanese(and korean) people because of the way they are raised, their culture, personality. it's hard to explain.. it's not about looks(but it's true i love their eyes) i have special affection to them.
Is there mangaka like Yoneda Kou or Ogawa Chise? I simply love their art and dark stories... Is there someone similar to them?
