Fr, like I enjoyed the novelty of it at the start but were 90 chapters in and since the romance is kinda solidified with both of them aware and indulging in each other’s love. The heavy focus on tea is a lil boring cause it just feels like an educational webtoon and at this point even added drama would feel forced since she’s just focused on tea

Tbh jin woo is starting to become a bit selfish. He’s definitely a smart guy so he would know the consequences of that gate in Japan and how many people would die but he’s more interested in his power.....saving lives should always come first.

Hopefully he should take that advice

In the earlier stages of the story there's a condition that says that he will lose an emotion whenever he does 'status recovery' (or at least I think it's linked to that).
I didn't find the earliest mention yet (might have overlooked it somehow) but I know that in chapter 33 on page 12 you can see him think "again.. one of my emotions has died" so there's a high chance that in these later chapters, where he has already gotten insanely strong, he lost a lot of normal human emotions through the system which could influence his judgment of the current situation.. even though it's hard to tell if his behaviour is really related to this since I don't remember any big mentions of this condition later into the story.

Or I guess maybe his desire to get stronger and get to the bottom of the mistery of his powers is just way bigger than anything else.

Tbh reading the novel I got annoyed with him because he took priority with his powers first, Japan second

Not all the Japanese citizens living there are the ones that messed up the ant island and even so it was all the Japanese S rank people that died

I mean of course it's not something good but at the same time he technically has a right to decide if he wants to participate or not, they can't really force him to take part in it since it was also said that normal S rank hunters can't beat an S rank gate (they would need national level hunters), so to 'normal hunters' this is practically certain death, so they can't really blame him for not being like 'YES'.

But since we know what is actually going through his mind (and it's most certainly not fear of death) it makes him look selfish and more interested in his own power.
It also seems like he's disregarding the fact that the gate will completely open soon so that high level threats can enter the real world which would be anohter calamity like jeju island.

Buuut he probably thinks that since the quest will open in a bit more than a day (around 27h) he'll have enough time to do that and then go to japans gate which will open in roughly 3 days. Even though I think he should consider the fact that once he enters, it could take him several times to go out of the other realm as well..
