agreed ! i feel like during most of SL we only see him fighting monster and never see who he is as a character, like sorry but being a badass is not a personality (it's slowly changing in the last few chapters but 75% of the story so far was just action and cliché protagonist characterization, like "ppl dying is bad", "wow i've improved a lot", etc...). I like this MC much more, he's funny, determined & has the right amount of bitchiness and the story is really interesting

I still like Solo Leveling more having read the novel and knowing what awesome things will go down. But this is like 3rd best in this genre

Are we talking about SL mc? because he's definitely funny, cocky, bratty mc. Although the SCSH is not cold blooded like him.

In terms of novel (imo), i definitely prefer SCSH. At first, SL is interesting and always makes me feel an excitement as a reader with every chapter. But after reaching a specific chapter, the pattern became clear and every character feels like they existed just to make him look better. There's no actual character development.

Actually, in terms of plot and charac development, TCF is number one in my list (〜￣△￣)〜
But we are all entitled to have our own opinion and preferences, so yeah, don't mind what I said above (￣∇￣")

I’m not saying I don’t like solo leveling, it’s just that... ever since he showed his powers to the whole world, it’s just been boring to me.
I want people to underestimate him... so that he could beat the crap out of them. that’s the type of stories I like, the “strong mc pretends to be weak” (kinda thing) I also like “anti hero” and “weak to strong” that’s why i like SL. And yeah... the mc in this story is gonna be known by the whole world too... but, I like how it’s funny to read and how he has a “cheat skill” but not just an ordinary cheat skill... BUT A CHEAT SKILL! *hes basically immortal*

I said he's funny, because of the way he acts and ignores the rules. His indifference towards things, i find it as funny.

Cocky. He always overestimate his self and do things recklessly without thinking that much. He always depends on his ability.

Bratty. He always ignores other hunters and never thought of their feelings. He always reject them without thinking about their offers.

Of course. It's titled solo leveling for a reason, he doesn't need the help of other characters. But a little consideration about their feelings would be nice. One of the few scene that made me think that he's a brat is when all of the guilds were running after him, he never even listened to what they're trying to say and just walked passed them.

And i definitely read the whole translated novel of SL, the current translated chapter of SCSH and TCF. That's why I have a basis on my claims.

SCSH is refreshing because I see another character not just a cold blooded.
