i dont remember what happened in the last chapter posted here but!! But this happened after the duke and her talked in the mansion. So, they were both invited to rose’s boat party and then the duke was cold to Ripley and is with rose. During the party they talked and basically ripley asked the duke why he let her go but and the duke asked if she was jealous over them and she agreed but then they were interrupted. Fast forward rose and her were in a heated discussion again and she fell from the boat (idk it looked like rose pushed her not quite sure) and just when she was swimming to get back up the duke went in to get her too. And said then he said that he never let her go. And they were all loveydovey!!! THEN THEY WENT BACK TO THE MANSION TOGETHER AND TALKED EVERYTHING OUT INCLUDING THEIR FEELINGS AND THEY GET IT ON YK (the duke was kinda hot asking ripley to call out his name a couple of times awooga) after that rose and ripley talked it out i think it was about rose and no one being there for rose in the end and she felt bad for rose or smthn along those lines BUT NOW RIPLEY HAS DONE IT AGAIN BC ETOILE HAD A STALKER AND AFTER A COUPLE DISCUSSIONS AND WRIGHT NOT SHOWING UP THE DUKE HAD TO ACT LIKE HE WAS WITH ETOILE TO THE STALKER SO HE WOULD STOP BUT NOW RIPLEY IS SAD AND KINDA HURT BC PEOPLE ARE SAYING THE DUKE AND HER BROKE UP AND STUFF IM FRUSTRATED AGAIN
